Our History
Founded in 1948, the Bentley Firm is currently located in the Original Cobb County Courthouse from the 1800s. In 2000, the Georgia Legislature named the Akers Mill Road Bridge over I-75, adjacent to the New Braves Stadium, after the Bentley Firm’s founding partner Fred Bentley, Sr.

Our Leadership
Fred Bentley, Sr., founder, was a state representative and senator during the 1950s, past president of the Cobb County Chamber of Commerce, and was the last surviving member of the original Cobb County Bar Association. Randall Bentley was the immediate past chairman of WellStar Health Systems, while Fred Bentley was a past chairman of the Cobb Chamber of Commerce, and was the first in-house Cobb County Attorney. Matt Bentley recently won the Republican nomination to become the State Representative for House District 40 in Cobb and Fulton County.

The Bentley Firm is comprised of civil litigation and criminal attorneys specializing in real estate, complex business litigation, land use, eminent domain and condemnation, and criminal prosecution and defense. 

Our Community Involvement
The Bentley Firm believes in giving back to its community. The Bentley Firm was integral in bringing about the multimillion dollar Kennedy Interchange near the Cumberland-Galleria, the foundation of Kennesaw State, and donated rare books and artwork to Kennesaw State’s “Bentley Rare Book Room”. Randall Bentley is very active on healthcare boards, including serving as the immediate past Chairman of the WellStar Health Systems Board, while Fred Bentley, Jr. was the first in-house Cobb County attorney, and served as the Chairman of the Cobb Chamber of Commerce.Matt Bentley recently won the Republican nomination to become the State Representative for House District 40 in Cobb and Fulton County.
