LAUREN MCKENZIE has a diverse civil litigation practice in the areas of eminent domain, real estate, aviation, contract, employment, personal injury, tort and complex commercial litigation cases. Her practice includes litigation in Federal and State trial and appellate courts. She serves as litigation counsel throughout Georgia for public utilities and county and local governments. She has also drafted local government environmental and commercial development ordinances. She is a member of the State Bar of Georgia’s Eminent Domain Section.
Ms. McKenzie received her Juris Doctor Degree from Mercer University. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree, Cum Laude, from the University of Georgia where she was a Presidential Scholar and received the Certificate of Academic Excellence in Criminal Justice.
Before becoming of counsel for the Bentley Firm, Ms. McKenzie practiced at an Atlanta law firm litigating real estate, employment, and commercial contract cases. Prior to working in Atlanta, Ms. McKenzie represented corporations, developers and individuals in her community law firm litigating real estate, insurance, contract, personal injury and wrongful death cases. She has represented clients in jury trials and obtained numerous six-figure settlements. She is a native of Georgia and provides her clients more than a decade of extensive litigation and mediation experience.
